Finalmente, luego de diversas dificultades administrativas y pol'iticas, nuestro proyecto fue aprobado en el seno de la Comisi'on de Relaciones Exteriores y Culto el pasado 11 de Agosto de 2010.
Previo a su aprobaci'on en comisi'on, el trabajo realizado y comentado anteriormente concluye el 29 de abril de 2010 a las 9.00 hs con la presentaci'on del Proyecto de Ley ante los Diputados de la Comisi'on de Relaciones Exteriores y Culto, contando con la presencia y discursos de apoyo de la mayor'ia de las organizaciones e instituciones religiosas representadas en nuestro pa'is, incluyendo a las m'aximas autoridades de las entidades evang'elicas citadas anteriormente.
Los puntos fundamentales de la ley son:
* Las confesiones religiosas DEJAR'aN DE SER CONSIDERADAS JUR'iDICAMENTE COMO CLUBES, FUNDACIONES U ONGS para pasar a ser reconocidas como Iglesias.

* Los TEMPLOS Y LUGARES PERTENECIENTES A CADA RELIGI`oN PASAR'aN A SER LUGARES SAGRADOS y no podr'an ser embargados o puestos en riesgo.
* Los ministros religiosos gozar'an de una reglamentaci'on que les otorgue LIBRE ACCESO A LAS C'aRCELES, HOSPITALES, ASILOS Y CUARTELES para poder brindar ayuda espiritual.

He invitado y han participado las principales organizaciones evang'elicas, representantes de otros credos e instituciones p'ublicas y privadas como el Consejo Argentino para la Libertad Religiosa (CALIR) y la Secretar'ia de Culto de la Naci'on, con quienes logramos consensuar la ley que finalmente fue aprobada en Comisi'on, plasmando en ella todos los proyectos previos.
Por todo lo expuesto, hoy puedo decir con certeza que tengo Paz en mi coraz'on delante de Dios (a quien debo mi vida) y de todos ustedes (a quienes me he brindado como hermana y ciudadana) por haber hecho todo lo necesario, sin pretensiones personales, para que los evang'elicos seamos reconocidos y respetados en nuestros derechos dentro de nuestro querido pa'is.

The original Wildwood Tarot has been out of print for a long time and was one of those hard to get going to cost you a lot of money collectors decks for many years. Someone convinced John Matthews to create an updated deck and this is the result.
This deck is very different from a lot of the traditional tarot decks. The entire deck is weaved in with the Celtic Wheel of the Year.
The four suits are matched to the seasons of the year. The Time of Bows (element of fire) being the time between Beltane and Lammas, The Time of Vessels (element of water) being the time between Lammas and Samhain, The Time of Stones (element of earth) being the time between Samhain and Imbolc and The Time of Arrows (element of air) being the time between Imbolc and Beltane.
There are some similarities in the Minor Arcana in this deck to traditional more Tarot decks but I chose the three cards below because they are some of the examples of the contrast in this deck. In the Rider-Waite deck the 6 of Pentacles is about contracts, inheritance and generosity or a win fall in the Wildwood Tarot is is labeled as Exploitation and because all of the cards have key words on them, there is not real way around the message. You are kind of stuck and dictated by the key words, whether you get something else from the card or not. Likewise with the 5 of Vessels, which is the 5 of Cups in the Rider-Waite tarot which means crying over spilt milk and sorrow, in the Wildwood it is Ecstasy. And well the 9 of Bows, he just looks creepy.
The artwork is simply stunning. Really one of the most detailed and beautiful decks I have seen in a long time (as there are a lot of mass produced Tarot decks on the market at the moment). It tends to be really raw and of course connected to the natural world.
Unlike the Minor Arcana there are huge differences in the Major Arcana. The names are very different and so are the messages a lot of the time. Number 12 - The Mirror below is traditionally The Hanged Man.
All of the Court Cards are sacred animals to the Celtic and Druidic traditions. So there are no people in the traditional 'people cards'. It also makes it interesting as you would have very different associations for someone who pulls the Adder to someone who pulls the King of Swords (well maybe you wouldn't).
This deck would require some study to learn some of the deeper meanings of the cards or would be great for empathic/intuitive readings. With the key words on a lot of the cards it will help readers get used to the meanings of the cards.

What I found is that the Tarot was not the first card game that appeared in Europe in the 14th century. In fact the Tarot was developed a century later in Italy, and the base card system that it was built upon was the simple 52 cards that we know today. The original game appeared first in China during the Tang dynasty, although it was quite varied and different than what is used today. India also had its own version, using round cards and many suits, but the Arab Mamlukes used a system that was very similar to the later European playing cards.
In the Mamluke deck there were 52 cards consisting of four suits and twelve court cards (malik - king, na'ib-malik - viceroy, thani-na'ib - assistant viceroy). These three personages later became the face cards of the King, Queen and Jack or Nave. Since Arab law forbade any kind of human likeness to be depicted, all of the cards consisted of geometric designs. The numbered cards (Ace through Ten) had the suit emblems depicted in geometric arrangements, and these cards were called the spot or pip cards. The four suits were staves, swords, cups and coins, which is how they were depicted when introduced to Europe, probably around the late 1370's. Early card sets were hand painted, but cheaper wood block printed versions began to appear in the 1420's. The four suits used most widely today first appeared in France in around 1480, being the images for clubs, hearts, spades and diamonds.
Whether we are talking about playing cards, or Tarot cards, they were all used specifically for gaming. While it is possible that cartomancy may have appeared when card sets became more common, the use of the Tarot for divination didn't become widely accepted until the late 18th century. Afterwards, the Tarot diverged to become an occult instrument used in cartomancy, and common playing cards continued to be used for gaming, although some continued to use the Tarot for gaming up to the present time. Of course, some individuals, like Gypsy fortune tellers, used the common playing deck for divination, too.
Anyway, the Tarot was invented in Italy sometime during the 15th century, perhaps as early as the 1420's. However, the Tarot had an additional court card (the knight), and twenty-one Trump cards along with the Fool card, thus producing a deck of 78 cards. While the Fool card might be confused with the Joker card, the Joker didn't appear in the standard 52 card deck until the 19th century, and was actually an American innovation. The Joker was used as a third trump card in the game Euchre, and was probably introduced around 1870.
The rest of what I said in my article was correct and accurate, except that the common 52 card set of playing cards came about long before the invention of the Tarot, and the Joker card was a recent invention. In the late 19th century, the twenty-two Tarot trumps were allocated to the twenty-two paths of Tree of Life, elevating them to a higher symbolic characterization than what they had ever achieved previously. What this whole process represents to me is that things that have a common origin and use can become sacred exemplars in a later age. Perhaps there is even hope for myself to someday become a kind of magickal saint (but I doubt it).
