Primera Raza

Son formas enormes, filamentosas, proteicas y et'ereas, bh^utas sin sexo, exudadas de los et'ereos cuerpos de sus progenitores. Esta Raza se reproduc'ia por escisi'on o brote; el individuo crec'ia, aumentaba en tama~no, y entonces se divid'ia en dos mitades iguales, al principio, y en sus 'ultimas etapas en porciones desiguales, de las que dimanaban seres m'as peque~nos, que a su vez crec'ian y daban origen a nueva prole. Esta Raza resid'ia en la primera tierra firme que apareci'o en el globo, el pico del Monte Mer'u, el extremo del polo Norte, el comienzo de la imperecedera Tierra Sagrada, la tierra de los devas, llamada tambi'en Zvetadv^ipa, la Isla Blanca o Tierra inside, cuyo clima era como el de una deliciosa primavera.
Esta tierra ha de ser sucesivamente la cuna de cada Raza humana bajo el Imperio de Dhruva, el Se~nor de la Estrella Arctic, cualquiera que sea el punto adonde haya de dirigirse despu'es de su nacimiento.
Segunda Raza
- Naci'o bajo la influencia del planeta J'upiter (Brihaspati). Los esp'iritus de la Naturaleza o devas inferiores conglomeraron en derredor de los chh^ay^as (sombras) pel'iculas de materia m'as densa, formando una especie de tupida envoltura externa, y lo ascend, (el chh^ay^a) de la primera Raza vino a ser lo innermost (el doble et'ereo) de la segunda. Estas formas filamentosas y de brillantes colores (amarillo de oro, anaranjado, etc.), heterog'eneas en apariencia, de figura diversa, semejaban vegetales o animales, y a menudo ten'ian unos contornos semihumanos.
Flotaban en el espacio, trepaban, desliz'abanse de ac'a para acull'a, y se llamaban con unos sonidos aflautados. La conciencia de la M'onada en esta Raza responde d'ebilmente a la conciencia b'uddhica. Adquiere un nuevo sentido, el del tacto, respondiendo as'i a las impresiones del aire y del fuego. Esta Raza ofrec'ia dos principales tipos de reproducci'on: por expansi'on y brote (generaci'on sexual), y por medio del sudor con indicios de sexualidad, por lo que se dio a sus individuos el nombre de andr'oginos latentes.
Esta Raza pas'o a residir en el segundo Continente, llamado Hiperb'oreo o Plakcha, que ocupaba el actual norte de Asia, junto con Groenlandia y la pen'insula de Kamschatka. Formaban tambi'en parte de este continente la isla de Spitzber, Suecia y Noruega, extendi'endose por el sudoeste hasta m'as all'a de las Islas Brit'anicas.
La bah'ia de Baffin era entonces tierra firme. El clima era tropical, y el suelo estaba cubierto de abundante vegetaci'on.
TERCERA RAZA (Lemuriana)

Como todas las formas entonces existentes en la tierra, el hombre era de estatura gigantesca.
Era rojo con mucha variedad de matices; ten'ia la frente deprimida, la nariz chata y las mand'ibulas abultadas y salientes. Los divinos andr'oginos eran de un hermoso y espl'endido tinte rojo dorado.
En esta Raza se desarroll'o el 'organo de la visi'on; al principio era un ojo 'unico en medio de la frente (llamado m'as tarde tercer ojo), que brillaba como una joya en su 'orbita; m'as adelante fueron dos ojos, pero 'estos no tuvieron completo uso hasta la tercera subraza de la tercera Raza; y 'unicamente en la cuarta Raza, cuando el tercer ojo retrocedi'o al innermost convirti'endose en gl'andula pineal, a~nadi'o el sentido de la behold a los del o'ido y del tacto.
En cuanto a la conciencia, la tercera Raza, por su contacto con ^Atma-Buddhi-Manas, demostr'o trinidad. A la conciencia de los contactos del fuego y del aire, a~nadi'o los del agua. El lenguaje pas'o a ser monos'ilabico.
La reproducci'on era de tres tipos: en la primera subraza se efectuaba por gotas de sudor, y apenas se distingu'ia el signo sexual en el cuerpo; gradualmente apareci'o la generaci'on ov'ipara (tercera y cuarta subraza), produciendo seres hermafroditas al principio, y m'as tarde con predominio de un solo sexo, hasta que por fin nacieron del huevo varones y hembras; en la quinta subraza empieza el huevo a quedar retenido en el seno materno, y nace la criatura d'ebil y desvalida; por 'ultimo, en la sexta y s'eptima subrazas ya es generally la generaci'on por ayuntamiento de sexos.

CUARTA RAZA (Atl'antica)

Well known Australian Fantasy artist Michele-lee Phelan is currently creating her first Tarot Deck called the Dreams of Gaia Tarot which hopefully will be near completion sometime in 2012 if not before then. Thanks to Princess and The Sea for the reminder about this deck in progress.
Michele-lee Phelan's artwork has been heavily published in Australia in Spheres Magazine, Goddess Magazine and Spellcraft Magazine and she also has contributed and featured in many Oracle decks. I really hope that she doesn't over saturate the market with her work. I wonder at times just how many pictures of Dragons, Faeries and Cloaked figures there really can be without it being overkill? But I digress.
Michele-lee has said this on the site about the Tarot:

IN THIS NEW TAROT, THE MAJOR ARCANA HAS BEEN COMPLETELY REWRITTEN WITH MANY OF THE TRADITIONAL ARCHETYPES REPLACED, WHILE THE MINOR ARCANA REMAINS TRUE TO TRADITIONAL DECKS, BUT IS NOW PURELY ELEMENTAL IN NATURE"
Sounds interesting and the art work that she currently has on the site is very enticing, I look forward to seeing the other cards. There are other decks that have the suits focused on the elemental aspects of the different minor arcana suits. It will be interesting to see how she progresses the cards from Ace to King and what the 'story' of each of the suits will be, or if they will be stand alone cards. I also wonder as a Tarot reader if I will be able to connect with them as they are not created from the traditional Tarot Rider-Waite Smith template.
The traditionalist in me rebukes the idea of changing the archetypes of the Major Arcana which is so heavily in bedded in the Tarot community and within my own understanding of the cards, but I will wait and see.
For now, I am just going to adore the art work. I really like the Elemental Queens. I have looked at each of the cards that she has created and also the key words associated and I am not sure I am going to click with them. For example the UNION card (below) would not be what I would associate with Marriage or Union at all, Dragon energy for me is more about the Astral realm, spirit guides and ancestors.
Also take the LOVE card, there is not a lot going on in the card at all, there is nothing beyond the love hearts, roses and the colors of the womans dress to give any sort of indication that this is the card of love. Love is a very emotive, powerful emotion and the card kinda feels flat.
I am not trying to bag the deck at all, I really do love Michele-lee's art work and I will definitely buy the deck when it is released, hopefully the book and the complete deck will be easier to connect with when I am able to hold them.

The Aura-Soma Tarot created by New Zealand artist Pamela Matthews the Aura-Soma Tarot was commissioned by Mike Booth chairman of Aura-Soma AS I ACT. The Aura-Soma website is here.
Aura-Soma is a very complex beautiful colour healing system created by Vicky Wall. I came across the Aura-Some Tarot at a Mind, Body and Soul expo and it brought to me train in Aura-Soma healing. I have completed two levels of my training.
Aura-Soma incorporates colour therapy/healing, herbology, aromatherapy, Kabbalah, Angels, Ascended Masters, Astrology and the Tarot. It is the most all encompassing (and confusing) system I have ever learnt.
The deck is just amazing, Pamela is such a skilled artist, there is so much detail, so much work has gone into the cards. The symbology is complex and deep.
The deck is huge! There are 106 cards to correspond with the number of Aura-Soma bottles.
The cards are:
0-22 - The Major Arcana
23-49 - The Minor Arcana
50-64 - Ascended Masters (also minor Arcana)
65-78 - The Minor Arcana
79-99 - Major Arcana - Return Journey) - Beginning of the Archangels
100-105 Archangels
The cards are quite big and the card stock is thick. I have the set that has the Aura-Soma bottles on the back side. Which means when you are giving readings you are able to ad the Aura-Soma meanings into it if you have some knowledge in them. You can just use the 78 cards like a normal Tarot deck and even use the return journey Major Arcana if you want to.
The return Journey of the Major Arcana builds on the Fools Journey, it is the higher journey of the Major Arcana.
There is also a guide book that you can get with the deck, which I would highly recommend if you are going to work with the deck. You can of course just use the deck intuitively but the artist has gone to a lot of trouble and effort to enrich the deck for users. (I have not taken a photo of the guide book) The book also has some Tarot spreads and the front and back covers have colour pictures of the Major Arcana's (and the return journey) astrological correspondences.
