In the book there is a little information about Psychic awareness and connecting and symbols and spreads. The deck is vibrant and colourful and very easy to read with.
Really it just feels like a bit of a watered down version of the Tarot for people who may misunderstand the archetypes or can't be bothered learning it. Tarot has always had stigmata attached to it so it is understandable that this deck is so popular. Ok that may be a little harsh but I just wanted to make it clear that the deck is designed to be simple so don't expect too much.

All of the cards are in the application, there are three spreads to choose from when you are doing a reading. There is the 1 card spread, 3 card spread (past, present, future) and 12 card spread (12 month forecast).
You can also just explore the cards and read the information at your own leisure.
The application comes with the ability to save readings as well which is handy, especially if you use the 12 month spread for example. I bought this application as I usually like picking a card for the day from a Tarot or Oracle deck of mine and I wanted something on my iPhone that would enable me to do it from anywhere. For me, it is a little bit of light fun and maybe some insight for the day.

One of the best replies to this I have ever heard is that you don't go to the Doctors office and expect them to know what is wrong with you or what treatment they can assist you with without you telling them why you are there and what symptoms you have. You get a result when you talk to the Doctor and an even better result and treatment if you are specific. This applies to your experience with the Tarot.
Assuming that you have gone to a good Tarot reader this is the general rule:
When you ask a generalised question, you are going to get a generalised answer.
When you ask a clear and accurate question, you are going to get a clear and accurate answer.
It is really all about the wording at times and it can take a little bit of communication between the reader and the querrant to get a good clear question to pose to the Tarot. The result however, is worth it.
For example if someone wants to know something as general as 'will I get a boyfriend soon?' The reading could come out very wishy washy because there is a lot that can be interoperated in that question. What would the querrant classify as soon? Do they want a boyfriend or are they looking for someone they can spend the rest of their life with?
When given a question like this to work with I would suggest to the querrant that it be reworded to give the best possible outcome. So after narrowing down what they really want, the question would be changed to; 'Will I be entering into a romantic relationship with a man I can be with in the long term within the next six months?' Okay that seams like a mouthful but you are more than likely going to be able to have the person who came seeking an answer walk away with more satisfaction using a question like that then a generalised term.
There are Tarot spreads that is designed to handle general queries and they work well for general results. These include general life spreads and 12 month forecast spreads.
Another thing that some people do not understand that there are different styles of Tarot readers and readings out there. Not all Tarot readers are psychic and there are some who will not even go anywhere near a reading that ventures into what is going to happen in the future for the querrant.
Some readers will be good enough to let you know before hand or will ask you what you are looking for to ensure that you are getting what you want before starting the reading. There are lots of people in the world that feel that black magick is an easy art. And that all that is involved in it is on the spur of the moment setting up a few candles and chanting some phrases and then magically having everything appear to them.
Ok that would be called a three minute spell and they seldom work. Anyone that claims to be able to do spell on the spur of the moment without any planning will have poor results with their spells. Trust me, you will get better results when you take the time to plan out your Black magic spells and understand the complete process involved in casting them.
There may come a point in the future where you own will power will be enough to create things that you desire, but as far as spells and rituals go (especially ones that involve summoning or evocation) you need to make sure that you have a strong understanding of the spell you are going to cast.
When I start my planning I start by selecting the spell or ritual that I wish to cast. If I am creating it myself then I will meditate on the concept for a few days planning out every detail and making sure that I understand every element involved in the spell I am making. If I am using a spell or ritual from a book I will read the ritual over a good many times in order to completely understand what it is that I am doing. After I have read it over I will commit the entire spell to memory, even the words that I do not have to say just so I am well prepared.
I will them take time to make sure that I have all the necessary materials for the spell. If I do not already have what I need I will go out and buy it. So far I have memorized the spell and I have my materials. I am still not ready to cast the spell as I need to have a complete image of what I want the result of the spell to be. Lets say I am casting a love spell and I desire a specific man. I will write out a description of this man and all the qualities I want and then hold an image of this guy in my mind. After I have the image of my desired results I will meditate on that desire making sure that I feel the energy and that during the spell I can bring out my strong passionate energies towards my desire. During the spell there will be no confusion of what you want as you will clearly have the image in your mind and your connection with that image will be strong. This will make the spell VERYpowerful.

There is one thing I always do before casting the spell that is super important. Before casting the spell I will sit in silence with myself and see if I have any limiting beliefs towards the spell. A limiting belief is basically a thought in your mind that say "you can't do this" or "This is impossible" ect. These are thoughts that will cause a spell to fail. Confidence and belief in ones abilities is essential for success in spell casting. If I find any of these limiting beliefs I will change them or eliminate them so that they do not interfere with my magick. I am a black magician and that mean I need to have a complete understanding of what is going on inside of me. The greatest challenges in black magic are not what is on the outside, but what is on the inside.
Once I feel prepared I will then choose a date, pick a location and prepare the altar to cast the spell. Preparation also gives one a feeling of ease as they know inside that they are prepared and can successfully cast the spell without any stumbles or falters. This allows the whole process to go smoothly with the magician displaying high levels of confidence and focus, guaranteeing success of the spell.

I really have had a week of fail. I did not really achieve anything I set out to do at work. I tried but it is getting harder to get a result and I am worried about getting my goals done. Also had a rather interesting social experience. Just one of those weeks where you arrive at the weekend and wonder what the hell just happened.
This is compacted by the fact that the Moon is Waning in Gemini. I have not slept all week properly, my thoughts have been racing and it seems that like always I have too much to do and not enough time to do it all.
So I thought I would consult the Tarot this morning and see if I could get some answers or guidance from my subconscious and spirit.
I am using a Tarot Reading Spread that is one I created and I find it is useful for specific situations and questions. It gives you a way of seeing more than one aspect of what is going on.
1. The Situation - The 8 of Cups (Chalices)
I have had this card more times that I can count, maybe I am not learning its lesson fast enough. This card is all about 'walking away from situations or people that no longer serve you' this is a card about action, you can't simply just think about removing yourself from situations that are no longer positive, you actually have to do it. This is a card of Cups, of emotions as well. This begs the question...am I making things harder on myself than I need to?
2. The Querent in the Situation - The 9 of Pentacles
Wow I look like cat woman, I surely feel like it at times. I am drawn to the fact that the card shows city buildings, I work in an office and the roads are swirling around and above her. She has in her pouch the pentacles, however she is dropping a couple of them. This card is traditionally about luxury and material success.
3. The Past - Knave (Knight) of Wands
He looks rather like a minstrel. The wands are governed by the element of fire and the Knaves or Knights are often the force and drive behind the elements themselves. The feelings of confidence can maybe be something that is only at the surface? Pyramids in the background speak to me of travel and of ancient knowledge, or maybe knowledge locked away inside, if we go looking for it.

A balance card, maybe I need to do some journey work with Justice. The musical notes speak to me, especially considering there was a guitar in the last card. She is the music however.
5. The Challenge - The Fool
The fool is a puppet in this deck, being controlled by something we are unable to see. So who is controlling the fool? Is it the universe or a manipulator? Usually the fool has no strings attached in the depiction and is a free being. This being does not look free at all and is also hiding behind a mask.
6. New Attitude/View - Ace of Swords
Time for new ideas, to look at things from another perspective. I thought I was actually pretty good at this, considering new angles and peoples points of view. Apparently I already have the answers but I need to carry the actions out swiftly. Maybe I am not being quick enough?
7. Possible Future - The 7 of Chalices (Cups)
The card about dreams, wishes and choices. So this is a reminder about keeping down the road I have been paving for myself and not allowing external forces to change my plans or keep me from following my dreams. I am also going to take this as a reminder that even though you have to keep those dreams live and keep those goals in sight, one also has to make sure they carry out the necessary steps to get there.
Certainly some food for thought.
